2nd Message from Cathy

We’ve been moving into our new apartment since Monday. Thanks to our friends and Olen’s parents who helped us make the move so much easier. Now, we only have a few more things left to unpack.

I’ve been feeling very well since Saturday. It’s amazing! The dry heaves have completely gone! Praise the Lord! It feels so good to laugh with friends again and enjoy food together.

It’s easy for us to take granted the things we’re used to, such as our ability to see, hear, or taste. During the first week after my first FAC treatment, I wasn’t able to enjoy food at all; everything tasted bitter to me. That was the first time I realized I do need to praise Lord for these pleasures I’ve always taken for granted.

The experience of the first FAC has shown me that the discomfort doesn’t last for the whole three weeks between treatments; this is great news for me! I’ll list my other three FAC times below, as I really need your prayers for them.

2nd FAC: July 16th
3rd FAC: August 6th
4th FAC: August 27th

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and support!

Cathy

  1. Elaine Fields (Emily's Grandmother) says:

Cathy, just a note to let you know we are praying for you. Something that really
helps the nausa is Ginger-from the health food store. I had a friend with cancer
& his doctor told him about it. It comes in chewable & pill form. Again our church,
Open Range Cowboy Church will be praying, also our women’s group.
We will keep those prayers going.
