We are planning to put some footage from the concert on Youtube in a week or so, with a link from this blog. If you missed the concert, you’ll be able to see some of the performances. I’m working on tracking down the tape that I’m told was made.
Also, donations have continued to trickle in, and we are now up to $55,652. Thanks again to all of you who gave, not just of your money but your time and talent as well.
Hi Cathy,
You don’t know me, but we may have passed in the halls at MDAnderson. I am riding along in the same boat as you, and appear to be about one week behind you in my chemo treatment. I also had twelve weeks of Taxol, although I am currently getting F.E.C, instead of F.A.C. I am happy to have only one treatment left to go (one week from today).
You were brought to my attention by one of Olen’s coworkers at HSPVA. She shared your story with our prayer group, and you have been in our prayers ever since. On the day she told us about you and your upcoming benefit, I was about to share some of the many little physical ailments I was going through that day – in particular, losing my eyebrows and eyelashes that previous week. However, your story made me realize how blessed I am, as even though we both have to go through the same path of diagnosis, shock, acceptance, treatment, pain, side effects, and healing, I was not being suitably grateful for being insured and for having an employer who is being fully supportive of me. You are truly in my heart and in my prayers as you have this extra burden on you during your fight. You and Olen are obviously both courageous, faithful, and strong! I hope you have felt lifted up by the outpouring of love and support for you in your benefit and the contributions that have come in even since then.
I would also like to make a small donation, but don’t like using paypal. If you don’t mind, could you email me your mailing address? Please go to my blog as well if you want to hear all of my various whining and laughter along the way. 😉
Best wishes,
Bonnie
